Ms. Susie
MOT, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Susie is a passionate pediatric occupational therapist who brings creativity, heart, and a deep love for children into every session. Originally from Michigan, Susie grew up in a big, lively family as one of 11 siblings. From a young age, she was drawn to caring for and connecting with children—whether through babysitting, coaching youth soccer, or simply playing with her younger siblings and cousins.
Growing up on a lake, Susie developed a deep love for the water early on. That lifelong connection has beautifully evolved into her work in the aqua setting, where she combines the therapeutic benefits of water with her expertise in pediatric care to support kids in fun, meaningful ways.
In 2017, Susie followed her childhood dream of living by the ocean and made the move to Oʻahu. Embracing the island lifestyle and the healing power of nature, she integrates these elements into her therapeutic work whenever possible—whether it’s through play-based interventions, sensory integration, time on the farm, or aquatic therapy in the pool. She also has experience with hippotherapy and values the unique ways animals and movement support developmental progress.
Susie has worked in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings and believes in meeting kids where they’re at—with joy, patience, and a whole lot of imagination. Her approach is rooted in connection, play, and the belief that therapy should empower children to thrive in their everyday environments—at home, in school, and within their communities.
When she’s not in the clinic or the pool, you’ll find her surfing, hiking, or adventuring across the island—always finding new ways to bring that spirit of curiosity and wonder back into her work.
