Mr. Josh
OTD, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Joshua is an enthusiastic occupational therapist who loves working with children and their families. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Joshua moved to Hawaii for his occupational therapy training and has since become part of the Hawaii pediatric therapy community. Joshua's path to occupational therapy grew from his earlier background in fitness and health promotion and kinesiology, giving him a foundation in movement, function, and whole-body wellness that continues to inform his clinical work today. His clinical experience includes early intervention occupational therapy with infants and toddlers ages zero to three, where he applied sensory-based interventions and coached families on sensory processing and its impact on learning and behavior, along with acute care experience with patients recovering from burns, neurological events, and cardiac and respiratory conditions.
Joshua also serves as an adjunct instructor mentoring graduate occupational therapy students in clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice, and is completing a capstone project developing evidence-based resources for high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients at Kapiolani Medical Center. Joshua brings a warm, movement-informed, family-centered approach to every child he works with, and believes that the most meaningful therapy is grounded in play, partnership with caregivers, and each child's unique way of moving through the world.
