Ms. Elara
PT, DPT
Pediatric Physical Therapist
Elara is passionate about physical therapy and loves working with children and their families. Originally from Southern California, Elara relocated to Hawaii for her studies and has made it her home. Her path toward pediatric physical therapy grew from years of working with children in many settings, including six years as a youth sports instructor and coach for volleyball and multisport programs with children ages four to twelve, as a daycare provider for children ages one to six, as a STEM and coding instructor across pre-K through sixth grade, and as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom. Her clinical physical therapy training has included a ten-week outpatient pediatric rotation serving children with developmental delays, torticollis, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, and post-operative and orthopedic conditions, along with rotations in outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing.
Elara has also volunteered with AccessSurf Hawaii, supporting individuals with disabilities in adaptive surfing, swimming, and canoeing. Elara brings a warm, play-based, movement-focused approach to every child she works with, and believes that progress happens when therapy is engaging, individualized, and rooted in each child's unique way of moving through the world.
