Ms. Ava
MS, CCC-SLP
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and Feeding Therapist
Ava is an enthusiastic pediatric speech-language pathologist who loves working with children and their families. Ava's path into speech-language pathology took a bit of a turn: her early studies were in communication and public relations before she realized that her true calling was helping children find and strengthen their voices. Since becoming a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Ava has worked across elementary, middle school, and outpatient pediatric clinic settings, supporting children from ten months through eighteen years of age with autism, Gestalt Language Processing, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language disorders, stuttering, and feeding and swallowing challenges. Her clinical practice draws from evidence-based approaches including Natural Language Acquisition, the complexity and cycles approaches, food chaining, oral motor and myofunctional strategies, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and she enjoys collaborating closely with occupational, physical, and music therapists to provide comprehensive, whole-child care.
Ava brings a warm, individualized, evidence-based approach to every child she works with, and believes that meaningful progress happens when therapy is playful, respectful of how each child communicates, and built in partnership with families.
