Ms. Alyssa
OTD, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Alyssa is passionate about occupational therapy because she is able to focus on bringing meaning and joy to her patient’s lives. With over 14 years of working with underserved populations, spanning from those experiencing houselessness, children and adults with disabilities, and international communities, she has found herself in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, schools, community centers, non-profits, farms, pro bono clinics, an orphanage, and a children’s museum. Her passion for sustainable global health and disaster relief work has also given her the opportunities to volunteer in various places including the Dominican Republic, Spain, Ghana, Ecuador, Nepal, Maui, and Los Angeles. No matter the setting, Alyssa values client-centered care and holistic health for all.
Some of her favorite ways she’s helped children include adapting toy cars for children with physical disabilities, using hippotherapy and nature-based interventions on horse farms, and improving inclusive design for museum visitors. Alyssa continues to strive for culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care, focusing on meaningful play and growth for all her clients and their communities.
