Ms. Abby
OTD, OTR/L
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Abby's path to occupational therapy began through years of working with children in movement-based settings, as a CrossFit and F45 trainer, a USAG gymnastics coach, and a physical education teacher at Palolo Elementary. While volunteering with Sprouts Therapy in 2023, Abby found her calling in occupational therapy, a path that combined her love of movement with her desire to support the whole child. Abby earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Hawaii Pacific University, completing Level II fieldwork in the Pearl City and Waipahu District schools and at Malama Pono Autism Center, where she built clinical skills in sensory regulation, fine motor development, play and social participation, self-regulation, and daily living skills. Abby's doctoral capstone, in partnership with the Hawaii Department of Education and Kāpalama Elementary, implemented the Comfortable Cafeteria Program, deepening her interest in supporting children around mealtime and the everyday rhythms of school. Abby is also a certified ACSM Exercise Physiologist and CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and brings a movement-based, play-first lens to every session.
