Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Feeding Therapist.

Nikki has loved helping children of all ages and abilities since she was young! While in high school, she attended a Young Life camp called Lost Canyon, where she volunteered as a leader for a 16-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. After returning home, Nikki began researching potential careers and soon discovered occupational therapy (OT). She was drawn to how OT uses play to work with children. Nikki had the opportunity to observe OT in schools during her elective class, where she served as a peer mentor in a special education class.

After graduating high school, Nikki attended Fresno Pacific University, majoring in Pre-Occupational Therapy and Kinesiology, with a minor in music. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, Nikki applied to OT school and moved to San Diego, CA, to pursue her doctorate in OT. While attending OT school, Nikki's passion for the field deepened as she discovered the endless opportunities to help people.

For her doctorate capstone project, Nikki explored the lived experience of caregivers of individuals labeled with schizophrenia, drawing from personal experiences within her family. Nikki is deeply passionate about not only helping children discover their strengths but also supporting caregivers and individuals with mental illness through an occupation-based lens.
