Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant

Joshua is a compassionate physical therapist assistant who has built his career around a simple commitment: to bring joy, positivity, empathy, and respect to every patient and family he works with. After earning an Associate of Applied Science from Illinois Central College, Joshua began his healthcare career as a patient care technician at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, a nationally recognized rehabilitation hospital, where he supported children and adults recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and orthopedic conditions and was honored with the AbilityLab's Remarkable Image of Caring Award.

Joshua went on to work as a traveling physical therapist assistant across Oregon, Washington, and Colorado, building experience in acute and long-term rehabilitation, before moving into pediatric care at Stargait Outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapy. There, Joshua developed neurodevelopmental treatment routines for children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and spina bifida, using reflex integration techniques to support motor development, emotional regulation, and progress through developmental delays. Now based in Hawaii, Joshua is a Hawaii-licensed physical therapist assistant and a certified EMT, and brings a steady, encouraging, and wholehearted presence to every child and family he serves.
